Inspiration board for a green theme wedding - green drinks green shoes green fascinator green centerpiece green bowtie green bracelet green cake green bridesmaid dress

Why a green wedding?  Green is bold and brings a sense of freshness that other colors just cannot.   It is a fashion statement and will truly make your wedding unique from many others.

Shoes – Those of you that have read my other articles may have come to realize that I love shoes.  I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed, but I do love a fancy pair.  So here we go once again.  If you are having a green-themed wedding, get some green shoes ladies!  They don’t have to be $750 Manolo shoes to look great.  The shoes in the picture are from zappos.com and for wedding shoes, are almost a steal at $78.95! Fascinator – You will feel like a princess for the day and look stunning in this green fascinator.  When I got married, fascinators were just coming back and were difficult to find, which translates to expensive.  The good news is that fascinators are very popular now and easy to find.  This fascinator is an excellent price at $39.99. Bracelet – What bride doesn’t love her jewelry?! Add one extra splash of green to your ensemble with this unique green bracelet.  At a price you can’t beat of $29.99, this is a must for your wedding day. (photo courtesy of nybeadworks.com)

Bridesmaid Dresses – There are so many options now for bridesmaids, even if you choose the color green.  I know that many brides want to avoid looking back at their wedding and regretting bad bridesmaid dresses, but with this classy and modern bridesmaid dress, you won’t have to worry. Bowtie - Yes, I do love bowties.  They are fun and classy, and if your guy can pull it off, he should sport one.  (photo courtesy of collaredgreens.com)

Centerpieces – Ahhh the centerpieces.  These are one of my favorite parts of a wedding because you can get so creative with them!  When you look closer at this green centerpiece, the main green portion is a tablecloth.  Pair this with a white vase and some green flowers, such as hydrangeas, and you have a gorgeous centerpiece.  (photo courtesy of http://www.word-of-wedding.com)

Cake – What a lovely color to add to a white or ivory cake.  You can have green flowers added to any cake and it will make it bright and fresh.  Choose any green flowers, or have the flowers on the cake match your wedding flowers if you’d like.  (photo courtesy projectwedding.com)

Cocktails – If you can have a cocktail match the color of your wedding, do it!  There are a ton of choices for green drinks.  Get some cocktail inspiration from a previous article, on unique bar ideas that you could use, and you could still use the green theme as well! Appetizers – I know, I’m going a little overboard now, but throw in this one last green touch!  Serve guests green gazpacho with shrimp.  It’s not in the picture, but you can find the recipe and picture here!  Other foods that are delicious and green include guacamole, peppers, celery and cucumbers.  (photo and recipe courtesy of shefinds.com)

Don’t forget to leave some feedback and tell me your great ideas!
